“ Dr. Rodman is a unique combination of professionalism, efficiency, and kindness, (with a touch of wry humor as needed). After our initial consultation, he proceeded to do the needed work, and had assistance from a very capable staff. I was delighted with the results as well as his fair pricing. He and his staff have my recommendation.”

Do you take my insurance?

We work with most insurance carriers. We gladly process your insurance claims and help you maximize your insurance benefits. If your insurance plan is a Preferred Provider Option (PPO) and we're not on the list, please contact us anyway and we'll check your out-of-network benefits. Most patients discover that benefit levels are approximately the same whether your care is provided by an in or out-of-network provider.

What is a periodontal maintenance? Why can't I just have a cleaning?

A cleaning is preventative in nature and is effective for people who do not have periodontal disease. During a cleaning, the hygienist removes plaque from areas that you can reach with your brush and floss.

Root Planing   Subgingival Scaling

A periodontal maintenance is therapeutic in nature for patients who have been treated for gum disease. A periodontal maintenance requires different instrumentation than a regular cleaning, and the hygienist is removing plague and harmful bacteria (that causes gum disease) from areas you can't access with a brush and floss. The harmful bacteria regenerate every 3 – 4 months and if left untreated can cause a recurrence of gum disease and more bone loss. That is why patients return for a periodontal maintenance every 3 – 4 months and why regular home care is so important.

What type of cosmetic dentistry do you offer?

The first question to consider is: if you could change anything about your smile, what would it be? The good news is that there are many ways to improve your smile from porcelain veneers and crowns to bleaching. In addition to having a beautiful smile, the function of your teeth is also important. At Raleigh Park Dental, function and beauty go hand in hand. Please contact us today for a complimentary consultation.

What is a dental implant?

Dental implants can be used to replace one tooth or many teeth. There are three parts to a dental implant. First, the implant that is typically made of titanium and that serves as the root of the tooth. Second, the abutment or portion of the implant that is visible above the gum line and serves as an attachment point for the crown. Third, the crown is the portion of the tooth you see and use for chewing (and smiling).

Dental implants have almost 50 years of clinical research to back them up, and implants have a success rate of about 95%. In the long run implants are more cost effective than getting a bridge. Dr. Rodman has two dental implants himself and will gladly share his personal experience. Please ask Dr. Rodman for a complimentary implant consultation.

Do you have payment options?
